Mr. Alvin Davis Andrus, Sr., passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020.  He was born on April 5, 1935, to the late Gilbert Andrus, Sr. and Pearl Andrus.  After retiring as an Offshore Cook of 40 plus years, he settled in Jennings, LA., where he was called home.

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Andrus, Sr., and Pear Andrus; his wife, Florie Andrus; brother, J. S. Andrus; sisters, Sadie Francis and Pearl Reney; his special friend, Modest Barlow.

He is survived by his son, Alvin Andrus, Jr. (Amanda); twin brother, J. D. Andrus; brothers, Gilbert Andrus, Jr. (Bertha) and King Andrus (Faye); sisters, Betty Reed and Yvonne Sylvester; Brother-in-Law, Reverend Ernest Reney; a host of nieces and nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
