Mrs. Amelia Savoie. McZeal, 83 Mrs. Amelia Savoie McZeal passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was born in Mermentau, LA., to Adam Savoie Sr., and Josephine Ruffn Savoie. Amelia was a life-long resident of Jennings, LA. and was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Gerald Perkins and served in the Mother's Club. Amelia retired as a Nurse Assistant from the Jennings Guest House after 25 years of service. Mrs. McZeal is survived by two daughters; Cheryl D. Lyons (George Grenne) and Sylvia Ann Breaux both of Jennings, LA., eight grandchildren; Jonathan, Dwight Jr, Damon, LaKshia, Tiffany, Andrew, Kalvin Jr., and Precious, eighteen great great-grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by both parents, two sons; Dwight Lee Breaux and Terry Wayne Breaux, eleven sisters; Bernice Gilliam, Emma Edwards, Eva Jones, Mary Edwards, Georgia Labbie, Effie Davis, Velma Kately, Lucille LeBlanc, Madlyn Johnson, Josephine Taylor, and Mildred O'Brien, one brother; Adam Savoie Jr., Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Union Baptist Church in Jennings, LA with Reverend Gerald Perkins, Pastor officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 9:00 am until the time of funeral services.
