It is with sadness that the family of Amos Beverly, Jr., 60, announce his passing.  Amos was a resident of Jennings, LA and a native of Lake Arthur, LA.  He was a United States Army Veteran and received and honorable discharge.  He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.  Amos accepted Christ in his life at an early age an was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Lake Arthur, LA.  After his discharge from the Army, Amos worked as an Operator on an Offshore Rig in the Oil Industry.

Amos leaves to cherish his memories, five sisters, Barbara Brown of Lake Arthur, LA,  Linda Stringer of Milwaukee, WI, Peggy Drake of Jennings, LA, Dodie Mitchell (Kevin) of Lake Arthur, LA, and Carla Gums (Clyde Jr.) of Duson, LA; three brothers, Dan Lee Brown of Lake Arthur, LA., Michael Beverly (Cynthia) of Jennings, LA, and Geoffery Beverly (Sharon) of Temple, TX.

Amos was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Beverly Sr and Beatrice Lee Beverly; one daughter, Alla Turner.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA.  Reverend Dr. Kieran Coleman will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will began at 12:00 pm in the Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.  Military Funeral Honors will be accorded by a United States Army detail from Fort Polk, LA.
