Arthur "Yank" Ray Alexander, Sr., was born in Jennings, Louisiana on April 3, 1947, to Dalton Alexander and Eloise Fontenot Alexander.  Arthur gained his wings on August 30, 2022, at the age of 75.

Arthur attended Jefferson Davis High School and later moved to South Carolina and was employed with Advanced Installation, retiring after many years of service.  He later returned home to Jennings, LA.  In 1971, Arthur married Dorothy Berry, and to that union, four children were born.

Arthur leaves to cherish his life memories, his wife, Dorothy Alexander of Jennings, LA; two sons, Dedric (Brandy) Alexander of Jennings, LA and Arthur Ray (Rosa) Alexander, Jr of Beaufort, SC; two daughters, Angel Alexander of Baltimore, MD and Crystal Renee Alexander of Jennings, LA; eleven granddaughters, Ta'lil, Tia, Alexia, Alexis, Amani, Destiny, Heaven, Taniah, Takia, Aviana, and Lakey; four grandsons, Datravius, Dedric Jr, Malcom Jr, and Devin Jr; one god-daughter, Samantha Alexander; two brothers, Gilbert Alexander and Dalton Alexander, both of Jennings, LA; two sisters, Carol (Joe) Celestine of Jennings, LA and Jocelyn "Penny" Inabinett of Jennings, LA; twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Eloise and Dalton Alexander, Sr; three brothers, Lawrence Alexander, Clyde Ned Jr., and Michael Alexander Sr; two sisters, Hazel Gamnbrell and Calin Frazier.
