Jr.
May 16, 1953 — Sep 25, 2023
Jennings
Life Story
Arthur White Jr. was born on May 16, 1953, to the late Arthur White Sr, and Ethel Cretchan White in Lafayette, LA. Arthur resided in Jennings, LA. He departed life on September 25, 2023, at Ochsner University Hospital in Lafayette, LA. Arthur was introduced to Christ at a young age at New Hope Baptist Church in Welsh, LA. We celebrate the life of a remarkable carpenter who touched the hearts of many. With his skilled hands, he crafted not just houses, but helped people see their dreams and aspirations through his craftmanship. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his love for fishing, which brought him solace and joy. He found fulfillment in working with his hands, creating something beautiful out of raw materials. Beyond his talent, he had love for his family, always cherished moments spent with loved ones. His legacy will live on through the homes he built and the memories he created.
His memories will be forever cherished by his children, daughters Antoinette Charleston, Danyelle White of Jennings, LA; Tyecsha (Milton) Jackson, Andrea (Ross) Ventress and Megan Jenkins of Lake Charles, LA.; sons, Arthur (Carrie) White Goodly of Westlake, LA; Marlin White of Carencro, LA; and Anthony Dugas of Welsh, LA; sister, Jane Mitchell of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers, Lane White and Kenneth (Denise) White of Welsh, LA, and Darrell (Jaffee) White of Alexandria, VA; three stepchildren, Damonica Johnson and Harold Johnson of Jennings, LA, Cherise Johnson of Lake Charles, LA; twenty-three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, fourteen step-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Lynette Johnson White; his parents, Arthur White Sr. and Ethel Chretchan White.
