Audrey Mae Martin, 80, was born on July 6, 1943, in Eunice, Louisiana to the late Willie Clark, Jr. and Olevia Bias Clark. She was called from this life on January 2, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family. Audry worked at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 35 years.
She was a woman of faith and a devoted member of St. Paul Baptist Church of Jennings where she served in various ministries as a Deaconess, Mission Ministry, Pastor's Aide, Choir Member, Kitchen Committee, and Decoration Committee. She was active in the Southwest Missionary Baptist Association as the Mission Ministry Secretary and Choir Member. Audrey was also a part of the Louisiana Home and Foreign Ministry and National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc. She was a member of Esther Grand Chapter Prince Hall Affiliation Order of Eastern Star.
Audrey leaves behind to cherish her memories, 3 children, Terry (Glenda Marie) Wayne Martin of Bakersfield, CA., Carolyn Martin Davis, and Robert James Martin, both of Jennings, LA; 2 grandchildren, Onjelle Paige Washington of Santa Rosa, CA. and Symone Rocquel Davis of Houston, TX; 4 great-grandchildren, Kalil Sheard, Onjellena Sheard, Timae Sheard, and Kamari Houston; 2 sisters, Minister Enola Roland of Alief, TX. and Arlene Clark of Jennings, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Robley Frank Martin; her parents, Willie Clark, Jr. and Olevia Bias Clark; her brothers, Frederick Clark and Horace Clark; her sisters, Angelina Stevens and Caldiona Harmon.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1502 S. Main Street in Jennings, LA. Reverend Pernell R. Trent will officiate. Visiting will be in the church from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Eunice Northside Cemetery in Eunice, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
