Ms. Barbara Ella Simien passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.  Barbara was a native and life-long resident of Jennings, LA.  She was self employed as a sitter.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three sisters, Mrs. Barbara A. (Alton) Weatherspoon of Jennings, LA., Mrs. Linda (William) Joseph of Jennings, LA., and Mrs. Verna (Norris) Woods of Rayne, LA; nieces & nephews, Paul Woods Jr., of Monroe, LA., Myroa Frost of Jennings, LA., Eldon Deville Jr. of Maryland, Meyosha Woods of Baton Rouge, LA., Ireashea Bolden of Little Rock, AR., Courtney Woods of Jennings, LA., Lakara Deville of Lake Charles, LA., Ebony Woods, Lloyd Duplechain of Rayne, LA; 10 great nephews, 1-great niece, special friends.

She was preceded in death by her spouse Columbus Edwards; mother, Mary Mallett; father, Herman Simien; brother, Lloyd Phillips

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday. February 20, 2016 at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in the David J. & Rosa W. Fondel Church Chapel with Reverend Pernell Trent officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of funeral in the Church Chapel.
