Bradford Floyd Edwards, Jr. was born on November 3, 1982, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the union of Clara and Bradford Edwards, Sr. He departed this life on August 28, 2022.  Brad was raised in a Christian home and received Christian guidance from many of his elders. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Union Baptist Church of Jennings, LA. Under the leadership of Rev. Gerald Perkins, he was baptized and trained as a junior deacon.  Before his final move to Austin, TX., he relocated briefly to Lake Charles, LA where he united with the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. E.J. Kemper III.

Brad began his education at James Ward Elementary, attended Northside Middle School and graduated from Jennings High School in the class of 2002.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and due to health limitations received an honorable discharge. He worked offshore for several years, later he was employed by FedEx Ship Center and lastly by Oilfield365 of Austin, TX.

Brad was a quiet spirit, a man of a few words and liked spending much of his time alone. He was always on the run with some place to be or had something to get done. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening in his earlier years and this continued in his later years. He also enjoyed getting together with family and his dear friends.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his loving parents, Clara and Bradford Edwards, Sr; one son, Braylon Brad Edwards; one daughter, A'narie Bra'joan Edwards, all of Jennings, LA; two brothers, Linton Jermaine Daniel of Surprise, AZ and Min. Mark Edwards of Silverwood, LA; five sisters, Patricia (Ray) McKenzie of Port Arthur, TX., Glen Edwards of Silverwood, LA., Mary Jane (Donald) McKinnie of Lake Charles, LA., Harryetta (Miles) Baldwin of Houston, TX, and Melanie Goodwill of Baton Rouge, LA; Godparents, Nordell Reed and Oliver Daniel of Jennings, LA; special friend, Chezmiscka Bedford of Lake Charles, LA; one godchild, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
