On Friday February 2, 2024, Angels quietly whispered in her ear and called her to her heavenly home. Brenda Sue Dargin was born on February 17, 1957, in Lafayette, LA to the late Lawrence and Hazel (Ceasar) Durgin. Brenda was raised by her Aunt Ella Ceasar in Fenton, LA, she later moved to Crowley, LA where she was loved and cared for by her Aunt Mary Soulaire and the late Donald Hill. She attended school and resided in Crowley until the time of death. She was a hard worker; she loved to cook and bake.  Her favorite pastime was talking on the phone, watching her daytime stories and loving her family (especially Bam).  Brenda was loved and cared for by all her aunts and uncles, and raised with her cousins as if they were her brothers and sisters.

Brenda was survived by her brother, Jerry Lee Dregin and her forever sister-in-law Gretchen J. Dregin and Ronald T. Ceasar; her spouse of 35 years, Ronald W. Coleman; two sons, Kenneth W. Durgan of Sioux City, Iowa and Joseph E. Boutte Jr. of Lafayette, LA; three daughters, Lythania M. Boutte and Mary N. Boutte both of Crowley LA, and Luciana H. Boutte of Lafayette LA; one stepdaughter, Romy Coleman of Lafayette LA; 10 grandkids, Kavaian McDowell, Symone Boutte, Ronalldo (Shamara) Coleman, MiDestinee Boutte, Jerriana Johnson, Shawn Dugar Jr, Sadarius Dugar, Kevion Johnson, Adagio Coleman, Laurian Guidry, and Raeden Coleman; 16 great-grandkids; nephew Jerry Lee Dregin II (Jerrica); 3 nieces, Bianca (Michael) Ellisor, Alycia (Damonte) Hulen, and Caithin Dregin; her favorites, Damya, DaMyla, Zaille, Maddie, Michaelynn, Zyian, Damonte Jr, and Michi; her aunts, Mary(Cloussy) Soularie, Agnes (Robert) Allen, and Ella Ceasar; her uncles, Adam (Katherine) Ceasar, Clyde (Mary) Ceasar; godchildren,  Ashley Achan and Ramona Meaux; special friends, Linda Achane and Bessie Breaux.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her mother and father; a host of aunt and uncles; a grandson, Dakota Chassion.
