Brenda Faye Thomas 49 Ms. Brenda F. Thomas entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Salinas, California where she resided for the past 25 years. She was a native of Lake Arthur, LA. and a graduate of Lake Arthur High School. Brenda recieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree and was enrolled in the Masters of Arts in Education program at California State University Monterey Bay. She was a tutor for Cal State Monterey Bay and she was a member of St. James C.M.E. Church in Salinas, CA. Brenda is survived by her devoted mother, Mrs. Erma Lee Thomas of Lake Arthur, LA., two sisters, Jacqueline Carter of Lake Arthur, LA., and Pamela Thomas of Lake Charles, LA., one brother; Rodney Thomas of Houston, TX. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Semien-Lewis Mortuary Church Chapel. Reverend Carl Fontenot, Pastor of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church of Jennings, LA., and Chaplain of Semien-Lewis Mortuary will officiate. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home Church Chapel until time of funeral service.
