Deacon John Robert Rubin, 94 , entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Camelot Brookside Retirement Home in Jennings.  Brother Rubin was born in Roanoke, LA on December 15, 1924 to Rodney Rubin and Lillie Mae Rideaux-Rubin.  He lived most of his life in Jennings, LA. and served in the United States Army during Word War II and later received an honorable discharge.  Brother Rubin was married to the love of his life, Celestine Brown Rubin on January 25, 1947 and to their union three children were born.

Brother Rubin was a faithful member of Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Jennings, where he served as Sr. Deacon, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent and Director of Maintenance.  He was currently retired and was formerly employed by Stine Lumber Company, Church of The Brethren, Glenn & Ethel Harris Farms and Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
