Carolyn Ann Mouton-Carter, 69, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Jennings American Legion Hospital in Jennings, LA.  Carolyn was born on April 3, 1950 in Jennings, LA, to the late V. H. Mouton and Gertie Norman.  Carolyn completed her High School Education and graduated from McKinney Job Corps and later enlisted in the United States Air Force.  After receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force, she moved to Oklahoma City, OK. She later moved back to Jennings after the passing of her mother.

Carolyn was self-employed as a Caretaker in the Jennings area.  She was a member of the Sharon Chapel Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Lake Charles, LA.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her loving memories, one daughter, Sharon Carter Breaux of Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters, Vetra Mouton, Alice Mlouton, and Lindell Mouton; two grandchildren, Tra'Ven Carter and Armani Netty; one great-grandchild, Averie Carter.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Gertie Norman; father, V.H. Mouton; sister, Laura Bruno.

A family viewing will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Semien-Lewis Mortuary. Reverend Pernell R. Trent, Jr. will provide words of comfort and officiate the graveside committal.  Public viewing will be from 12:00 noon to 3:45 pm at Semien-Lewis Mortuary through the Viewing Center.
