Carroll Douglas Barker Jr., 32 Carroll D. Barker Jr. died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Mermentau, LA. He was a graduate of Midland High School in 1999. Carroll is survived by his loving parents, Carroll D. Barker Sr. and Leonnette Barker. He was a lover of people, and was always helping and assisting family members. He was an avid reader, and read two novels a week. Additionally, he enjoyed his family and his video games Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in the Semien-Lewis Mortuary Church Chapel in Jennings, LA with Reverend Dr. Stacy Poullard officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral. Burial will be in the Benevolent Cemetery.
