Mr. Charles Ray Clark, 68, of Welsh, LA, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Clark was born on August 12, 1955, in Lafayette, LA, to the late Ernest Clark and Lillie Mae Carrier Clark.  Charles served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after 11 months of service.  Charles was awarded the Marks Mansfield-11 and the National Defense Medal during his military service.  He was employed with South Louisiana Rail Facility, LLC.  He loved cooking, listening to music, watching movies, drawing, riding motorcycles & four-wheelers, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Clark leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Aleta Renae Clark; his children, Derrick Wayne, Calvin Lee, Shaleta Shontae and Dameka Lashae all of Welsh, LA; his sisters, Shirley Zeno of Welsh, LA, Sandra Harmon of Welsh, LA, Gracie Clark of Houston, TX, and Bernadette Clark of San Diego, CA; his aunt, Dorothy Sevier of San Diego, CA; his sister-in-law, Donita Vital of Welsh, LA;  a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Clark and Lillie Mae Carrier Clark; 2 sons, Ray Lee and Baby Jacob; his sister, Sharon 'Sheila' Clark.

A private funeral will be held for the family and cremation will follow.
