Mr. Charles "Boilermaker Black" Smith, Sr. passed away peacefully at his residence while surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Charles was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 24, 1949 to the late Munson Smith, Sr. and Mahalia Johnson-Smith. He was a resident of Church Point, Louisiana and was married to Lisa J. Daniels-Smith. Charles worked for over 53 years as a retired Operator and worked as a Boilermaker, Welder and in other areas within the Petrochemical Industry.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Lisa J. Smith; daughter, Angie Rochelle Russ of Baton Rouge, LA. and Charles Ann Smith of Alexandria, LA.; brother, Alvin Smith of Houston, TX.; sister, Golda Mae Smith of Plaquemine, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Munson Smith and Mahalia Johnson-Smith; several brothers and sisters.
Burial will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 7, 2018 in Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart Church Catholic Cemetery in Church Point, LA. with Reverend Clyde Lewis Officiating under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
