Christine Deville, 80, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.  Christine was born on December 25, 1937 in Shreveport, LA to Piccola Harris Lewis and Elbert Lewis, Sr.  She was married to the late Larry Deville.  Christine was self-employed as a Beautician and she truly enjoyed her profession for over 40 years. Christine was a devoted member of Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church,  Pastored by Reverend Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr.

Christine is survived by her sons, Calvin Brown, Jr. (Judah Love), Christopher Brown, Cornel Howard Paul Brown, Carter O'Neal Brown (Latany); Daughter-in-Law, Cecile Charles; brothers, Oscar "OC" Lewis, Eddie Earl (Poonie) Lewis, Elbert Lewis, Jr; sisters, Ella Mae Lewis, Patricia Valarie, Willie Parl Burke (Reginald); a host of grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pecola Lewis & Elbert Lewis, Sr; son, Gregory Brown; brother, L. C. Lewis.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church, 2222 2nd Avenue, Lake Charles, LA with Reverend Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be held in the church from 6 pm until time of funeral.  Dismissal will be on Monday, January 29, 2018 in the Church at 10 am.  Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery, Westlake LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
