Claudia Faye Davis Janice, 64, departed this life on May 21, 2020, at 10:13 a.m. at Jennings American Legion Hospital in Jennings, Louisiana.  She was born in Lafayette, LA. on April 7, 1956, to the late Claude J. Davis, Sr. and Selecia Marie Goodman-Davis.  Claudia united in marriage to Joseph A. Janice, Sr. on August 13, 1977.  Claudia was a retired Cafeteria Worker with the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board.  She was a devoted parishioner and choir member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA., pastored by Father Jude Fernando.

Claudia was preceded in death by her daughter Sabrina Denise Janice; parents, Claude Junius Davis, Sr. and Selecia Marie Goodman Davis; maternal grandparents, Walter Goodman and Junita Domingue; paternal grandparents, Wallace Davis and Lillian John; two brothers Claude Junius Davis Jr., and Gerald Jerome Davis; one sister, Jacqueline Marie Davis Bias; two sister-in-laws, Anna Mae Janice and Joyce Rooks.

Claudia (Faye) leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Joseph A. Janice Sr. of Jennings, LA,:her son, Staff Sergeant Joseph A. Janice, Jr.(Kayla); her grandchildren, Saiveon & Nyson Harmon of Fayette, North Carolina and Jeremiah Morgan of Houston, TX; five sisters, Wanda Jean Davis Albert (Michael), Cynthia Marie Davis Matthews (Clarence Jr.), Tammy Rene Davis Gobert (Gerald Sr.), Shelly Lynn Davis Belton (Johnathan) of Jennings, Louisiana; two brothers, James Anthony Davis (LaShawn) of Houma, LA. and Kevin Paul Davis (Tanisha) of Vierra, FL; her brother-in-law, Lester Janice (Rose Mary) of Lake Charles, LA; two godchildren, Guy Marty Martell Gobert of Jennings, LA. and Barisha Nachaeliegh Cole of Houma, LA.; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA.  Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery in Jennings, LA with Father Jude Fernando officiating.
