Connie Michelle Strauss, age 59, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.  Connie was a native and resident of Jennings, Louisiana.  She was born July 19, 1958 to her loving parents, Robert and Louise Rubin in Jennings, Louisiana.  Connie was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and was a graduate of Jennings High School.  She attended Louisiana State University at Eunice and later worked as a Bank Teller at Woodforest Bank in Jennings.  Connie attended Power House Church of God of God In Christ in Jennings while growing up with her family.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Connie leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Maegan Jackson and husband Michael of Baton Rouge, LA; one son, Robert DaRon Strauss of Jennings, LA; three sisters, Deborah Botley of Lake Charles, Sharon Rubin of New York, NY., and Sheila Thibodeaux of Jennings, LA; three grandchildren, Camdyn Jackson, Robert Strauss Jr., and DaRon Strauss.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Rubin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Union Baptist Church, 1014 South Main Street, Jennings, LA 70546.  Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr. will officiate.  Visitation will be held in the church from 8:00 am until the time of funeral.  Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
