Cory James Marks, 42, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020, in Jennings, LA.  Cory was born on October 12, 1978, in Lake Charles, LA to Cornell Marks and Connie Clark.  He was self-employed as a Licensed Barber and also worked as a Fork Lift Operator.

Cory leaves to mourn his passing, five children, Deon'Janae Lewis, Chanyree Lewis, Cory Gatte, Kaileigh Gatte all of Jennings, LA, and Kamirey Frank of Spring, TX; one granddaughter, Toriana Jordan; one sister, Jessica Alfred of Lake Charles, LA; his mother, Connie L. Clark (Bruce Wilson) of Lake Charles, LA; a special friend, Rose Harrison; one godmother, Rosella Perrote of San Antonio, TX; one uncle, Jerry Clark, Jr. of Jennings, LA.

Cory was preceded in death by his father, Cornell Marks; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Corine Clark; his paternal grandmother, Mary Marks; one brother, Raynell Dispany.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 21, 2020, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, Louisiana.  Visitation will be in the Chapel from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.  Minister Betty Ettienne will officiate.
