Crisita Lashawn Lewis, 61, born Crisita Green on October 21, 1964, in the quiet town of Lake City, Florida, departed from this life on May 19, 2026, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was affectionately called "Shawn" by her family and friends. Her passing leaves a profound stillness in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. From her earliest days, Shawn embraced life with a vibrant spirit and a deep-rooted joy that found its fullest expression in the company of family and friends. A true nurturer, she was a loving mother and grandmother whose greatest joys were found in the laughter and lives of those she held dear. In remembering Shawn, one recalls a life beautifully lived—a life defined not by the years counted but by the love planted in each day.

Shawn was a proud graduate of Lake Charles High School in the Class of 1982. As a testament to her dedication and perseverance, Shawn earned her Bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University. She was formerly employed as an Accounting Specialist at Chemical Waste Management, with 29 years of dedicated service.

Shawn accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA, pastored by Reverend E. J. Kemper III. She remained a faithful member of the church until her passing

Shawn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alford Green, Jr., and Lorene Newton Green, whose memories live on in the quiet reflections of her life.

Shawn leaves behind her devoted "one & only" son, Marlin Lewis of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Kadon Batiste, Amyre Duplantis, & Milan Lewis; one sister, Cecelia Armstrong; a host of other relatives and friends.
