Mr. Darol Wayne Page, Sr., age 60, a native of Lake Charles, LA., and resident of Portland, Oregon passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at a local hospital. Darol was born on October 11, 1956 to his mother Emma Gilbert Page and father, Ernest James Page, Sr., in Lake Charles, LA. Darol was baptized at an early age at Reeves Temple
Christian Methodist Episcopal Church
in Lake Charles. Darol was educated in the Calcasieu Parish School System. He attended Second Ward Elementary, Hamilton Christian, Pearl Watson Jr. High, and was a 1974 graduate of Lake Charles High School. Darol enlisted in the United States Air Force. He lived in Austin, Texas for a short time and then moved to Portland, Oregon. Darol retired from the City of Portland, Oregon as an Engineer/Carpenter after 32 years of employment.
Darol was a huge sports fan. He loved the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, and the Portland Trailblazers.
Darol leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Donnie P. Lewis Page; children, Darol Wayne Page, Jr., of Portland, OR., Tina Le'Shea Page of Austin, TX., Dominique Page of Hawaii, Tywanna Lyntrese Dushime (Alex) of Denham Springs, LA., and Christopher Carrington Doshier (Isabella) of Destin, FL; Brothers, Ernest Page, Jr. (Marie) of Lake Charles, LA., Clarence Page (Darlene) Los Angeles, CA; Sisters, Linda Page of Austin, TX., Shelia Page, Houston, TX., Carol Collier (Skip) of Camas, WA; Grandchildren, Italy Brancaccio of Austin, TX., Greyson Dushime of Denham Springs, LA., and Braylon Doshier, of Destin, FL; Godchild, Constance Page.
Darol was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest James Page, Sr., and Emma Gilbert Page; Grandfather, Emmanuel Gilbert; Sgt. Velma Mitchell and Daisy Sims.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 29, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. until time of service at Reeves Temple CME Church. Funeral Service will start at 11:00 A.M. with Elder H. Leon Williams officiating, burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery located in Westlake, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
