Mr. Darrell Darnell Mitchell, 48, was a native Lake Charles and a resident of Sulphur, LA., passed away at his residence.  Darrell was born on October 14, 1970 to Robert Mitchell and Martha Marie Landry.  He was educated in the Calcasieu Parish School System.  He was married to Erica R. Mitchell and to their union one son was born.  Darrell was a member of First New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA., pastored by Reverend Dwight Barker.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Erica R. Mitchell; one son, Eddie Davis; two brothers, Cornell Mitchell and Ronald Richmond; five sisters, Clorinda Mitchell, Clorinda (Kary) Hardy, Lashonda (Lamar) Williams, Joyes Harrison, Jacqueline Richmond and Monique Richmond.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Landry-Young, Robert Mitchell; brother, Robert Mitchell, Jr; sister, Karen D. Mitchell; niece, Ericka R. Mitchell.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, February 16, 2019 in First New Life Missionary Baptist Church, 311 1st Ave, Lake Charles, LA with Pastor Reverend Dwight E. Barker, Sr. officiating .  Visitation will be in the church from 9:00 am until the time of Celebration Services.  Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery, 1100 McKinley St; Westlake , LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
