Darrell J. Goodwin, 64, affectionately known as "Pee Wee" passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Ochsner American Legion Hospital in Jennings, LA.  He was born on December 2, 1958, in Lawtell, LA to the late Noah Lou Goodwin and Viola Fontenot.  Pee Wee accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He loved people and always had an infectious smile, he enjoyed entertaining children, and he loved riding his bicycle around town.  A favorite past time of Pee Wee was watching his favorite TV shows, Waker Texas Ranger and Matlock.  Pee Wee worked off and on detailing cars at local automobile dealerships.

Pee Wee leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Mary L. Leblanc of Jennings, LA., Helen (Louis) Washington of Houston, TX and Dorothy Brown of Houston, TX; two brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Goodwin of Ragley, LA and Jessie J. Goodwin of Lake Charles, LA; a special friend, Tanya Spencer; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Pee Wee was preceded in death by his parents, Noah & Viola Goodwin; three sisters, Florence Goodwin, Virginia Fontenot, and Irene Brown; six brothers, Rufus Goodwin, Joseph Goodwin, Peter Goodwin, Paul Goodwin, Leroy Goodwin, and Lonell Goodwin.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 20, 2023, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA.  Visiting with family and friends will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in the Chapel.  Burial will follow in Peterson Memorial Cemetery in Jennings, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
