Mr. David Lee Hampton
, 55 entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. David was a resident of Lake Charles and was employed with Wal Mart Corporation as a Custodian. He was a graduate of Spring Hill High School in Spring Hill Tennessee where he was a member of the Basketball Team and Baseball Team. He attended Columbia State Community College and Delta Technical College in Lake Charles. David was a faithful member of Blake Street Church of Christ located at 103 N. Blake Street in Lake Charles, LA., pastored by Brother Tommy Jordan.
David leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Bobby Lee Hampton of Spring Hill, TN; three sisters, Barbara (Terry) Hampton-Franseen of Collier Ville, TN., Mary Silcott of Huntsville, AL., and Carol Hampton of Spring Hill, TN; his girlfriend, Benita January of Lake Charles, LA.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Marvalene Hampton and his grandparents.
Celebration of Life Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Blake Street Church of Christ, 103 N. Blake Street in Lake Charles, LA. with Pastor Brother Tommy Jordan officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 11:00 am until the time of religious services. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery in Westlake, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
