Deacon Earnest Lee Robinson Sr., 87 was called by God from labor to heavenly reward on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Deacon Robinson was a native of New Iberia, LA., and a life-long resident of Lake Arthur, LA. He was born on March 6, 1926 to the late Sidney Robinson and Amy Lucille Jackson-Robinson. Deacon Robinson was a devoted servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a dedicated member of the Antioch Baptist Church where he served as Head Deacon of the Deacon's Ministry, pastored by Reverend Michael Williams. He served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. Deacon Robinson is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ora Lene Daniel-Robinson; seven children, Calvin Lee Robinson (Mable), Carolyn Jean Charles (Edmond), Vanessa D. Chaney (Earles), Phyllis L. Robinson (Lee James), Ivorie Lee Robinson (Monica), Sandra Milton (Kenneth), Auldon Robinson (Trina); three brothers, Raymond Robinson, Paul Robinson, Nathan Robinson; one sister, Norma Jean Johnson; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents Sidney and Amy Robinson; two sons, Aubrey L. Robinson and Earnest Lee Robinson Jr.; two grandchildren, Cherise Robinson and Desmond Miller; two brothers, James Robinson, Calvin Robinson; one sister, Cleotha Dotson. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church, located at 634 Iowa Street in Lake Arthur, LA., with Reverend Michael Williams officiating. Visitation will began at 8:00 am in the Church until the time of religious services. Interment will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
