Deborah Louise Jackson-Washington, 68, passed away peacefully at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.  Deborah was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on November 22, 1952, to the late Alvin Joseph Jackson and Bernice Walker-Jackson. She was raised in Mossville, Louisiana, and was a graduate of Westlake High School where she was a Majorette who loved to twirl her baton and was an all-around athlete with her main sport being Softball.  After graduating high school, she continued her studies at the University of Southwest Louisiana (USL) in Lafayette, LA.  Deborah continued to play semi-pro softball and was as later inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame.  Deborah was married to Warren Michael Washington, Sr., and to that union, two children were born, Shimeka and Warren, II.  Deborah was employed for 10-years by Players Casino as a Slot Attendant Supervisor.  She was a devoted member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lake Charles, LA.  Deborah was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints Football Team and enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Deborah is survived by her children, Shimeka Renee Washington (James Leblanc) and Warren Michael Washington, II, both of Lake Charles, LA; one granddaughter, Jaden J. Washington; two grandsons, Landon J. Washington and Cartier J. Henderson-Washington; one great-granddaughter, Paisley U. Washington; one Godchild, Ala'jsa M. Walker; one brother, Joseph Timothy Jackson; one sister, Jennifer Jackson-Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Michael Washington, Sr; her parents, Alvin Joseph Jackson and Bernice Walker-Jackson; sisters, Sarah Alean Jackson, and Linda Marie Jackson-Moore.
