Sister Deborah Wilson, 97, of Lake Arthur, LA., completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings, LA while surrounded by a loved one.  Sister Wilson was a native and life-long resident of Lake Arthur, LA.  She accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 12.  Sister Wilson was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church for over eighty years. She served under Reverend May, Reverend George Chaney, Reverend Melton Alfred, Reverend Henry Comeaux, and present Reverend Michael Williams. She was a former Usher, Choir Member, and a member of the Mission and Deaconess Ministries.  She was truly dedicated to serving the Lord. She was a faithful member of Antioch until her death and was also faithful to her pastors. She loved her family and church family. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking. Her life was colorful.  She was a domestic housewife but later went on to work at the Holiday Inn Express in Jennings, Louisiana for ten years.

Sister Wilson was a joy to know and her memories will live in the hearts of her daughter-in-law, Tamelia Tyler; grandson, Walter Lee Wilson and his children, Tyrone, Desean, Tysean and Jasmine Wilson all of Spotsylvania, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

Sister Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Everline Beverly; husband, Lloyd Wilson; son, Tyrone Wilson; three brothers, Raymond and Isreal Buchanan and Michael Beverly; and two sisters, Effie Poma and Ruth Beverly.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church in Lake Arthur, LA. with Reverend Michael Williams officiating.  Visitation will be in the church from 8:00 am until the time of Funeral Services.  Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
