Mr. Delvecko Vonrees Nixon, 46, passed away on peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2018 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.  Delvecko was a native and life-long resident of Jennings, LA.  He was born on January 29, 1972 to the late Deacon Cleveland P. Francis, Sr. and Sister Reva Nixon Francis. He was a  a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA., pastored by Reverend Dr. Kieran D. Coleman, where he served as a Deacon.

Funeral services for Delvecko will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018  in the David J. & Rosa W. Fondel Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State St. in Jennings, LA.  Reverend Dr. Kieran D. Coleman will officiate.  Burial will be announced later by Semien-Lewis Mortuary. Visitation will be at 12 noon until time of funeral.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bush of Welsh, LA; three sons, Del Joshua St. Julien and Ivon St. Julien, both of Shreveport, LA., Desome Daniels of Jennings, LA; one daughter, Tamaria Goodwin of Jennings, LA;four step-daughters, Candace Bush, Crystal Bush, and Camilla Bush of Lake Charles, LA., and Chloe Bush of Alexandria, LA; two step-sons, Cameron Bush of Jennings, LA., and Connor Bush of Lake Charles, LA; sisters and brothers, Edna Marie Nixon of Carencro, LA., Philip Baptiste of Los Angeles, CA., Cleveland Frances Jr. of Alexandria, VA., Fayester Francis, Wallace Nixon, and Terry Huntsberry all of Houston, TX., Barbara Francis of California, Lois Broussard of Killeen, TX., Elizabeth Locke of Newport News, VA., Cleveland Nixon of Jennings, LA., Lawrence Nixon of Springfield, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Francis and Reba Nixon Francis; two sisters, Janice Nixon Holland and Nancy C. Francis Wells; two brothers, Gregory Nixon and David T. Nixon.
