Diana Marie Dartez, 62, transitioned from earthly labor to heavenly reward on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was born January 24, 1962, in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Frank Lyons and Letha Francis. Diana attended public school. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Immanuel Christ Sanctified Holiness Church where she was a dedicated member. Diana was a Homemaker and she devoted all of her time and energy to care for family members. With her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many.

Diana was united in holy matrimony to Rayford Dartez, Sr. on July 31, 1975.

Diana leaves behind a host of family and loved ones; her children, Rayford Dartez, Jr., Eric Dartez, Jamall Dartez, Sr., Tana Dartez and Tamika Mouton; her step daughter, Rachel Gauthier; her sisters, Catherine Hicks of Los Angelos, CA., Peggy Lyons of Beaumont, TX., Joanne Hicks of Richmond, VA., Jeannie Hicks of Shreveport, LA. and Renee Lyons of Lafayette, LA.; her brothers, Frank Lyons of Chicago, IL., Donald (Stephanie) Hicks of Houston, TX., Mike Mike Lyons of Jennings, LA., David Lyons of Lafayette, LA., Bryan (Lisa) Hicks of Elton, LA. and Burt (Helen) Hicks of Eunice, LA.; her grandchildren, Je'Tyrenee, Nayshun, Jamini, Jalynn, Jade, Makieh, Kayne, Jamall Jr., Malik, Jarelle, Jamalyn, Trycen and Mirkel; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Lyons and Letha Francis; the love of her life, Rayford Dartez, Sr.; her sister, Karan Hicks; her brother, Henry Hicks and two great grandchildren, Nas Ray and Niles Raye.

Celebration of Life Services will begin at 10 A.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
