Donald Ray George, 66, was born on March 19, 1957, to the union of the late Beulah Simon and Clarence P. George of Crowley, LA.  He had two sisters and four brothers.

As a young man he quickly followed in the footsteps of his father by developing a love for carpentry, cooking, fishing, and hunting.  Affectionately known as "Deak" to his family and friends; he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him.

Best known for building, remodeling, and painting homes, he also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends while having a good time with music and libations.

In his past time, he loved being outdoors fishing and hunting by himself or with family and friends.

With his life partner, Lorna "Skeeter" Lawrence, they had three children, Marcus (Denekra) Lawrence of Houma, LA, Bridgette (Donovan) Hollier, and Jessica Lawrence both of Crowley, LA; his loving siblings, Clarence (Gwendolyn) George, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV., Michael "Tripe" George Sr. of Crowley, LA., Dianne (Roger) Johnson of Carencro, LA, Frederick "Ricky" (Jackie) George Sr. of Convers, GA; ten grandchildren, JaKourtlyn, I'Naigia, Marjarie, Tai'Jane, Mariah, Marcus, Da'von, Saderia, Kevin, Khalil; ten great-grandchildren, Canaan, Cahli, Tai'ven, Tai'lyn, Oryn, Chris, Chrislynn, Omir, Chole, and Kailee; one special godchild, Brittney Delco Guidry and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Beulah Simon George and Clarence George, Sr; siblings, Anthony George and Brenda George Broussard; one nephew, Michael George Jr.
