Ms. Donya Kaye Jones, 42, of Jennings, LA, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 20, 2024.  Donya was a native and resident of Jennings, LA.  She was born on September 26, 1981, to Sheila Kaye Williams-Jones and Carle Dale Jones Sr.  Donya accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Immanuel Worship Center.  Donya had previously worked in the Housekeeping Department a local Nursing Homes.  She loved spending time with family and friends; she was very outspoken and enjoyed making people laugh.

Donya leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Jacoys Thomas of Jennings, LA; her father, Carl Dale Jones, Sr. of Lake Charles, LA; three brothers, Cleo (Leona) Williams of Jennings, LA., Carl D. Jones, Jr. of Jennings, LA., and Michael J. (Brittany) Jones of Lafayette, LA; her paternal grandmother, Mable Perkins-Thomas of Atlanta, GA; three nieces, three nephews, and four great nephews; a host of uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends.

Donya was preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Kaye Jones; her maternal grandparents, Jeanette Williams and Morgan Williams; her paternal grandfather, Alvin C. Jones, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA.  Reverend Gerald W. Perkins Sr. will officiate.
