Mr. Doris Francis, Sr., 89, departed his earthly life on April 18, 2021.  Doris was born February 20, 1932, in Jennings, Louisiana to Andrew Francis and Emma Breaux Francis.  He attended Jefferson Davis High School and worked as an Orderly at Jennings American Legion Hospital for 20 years and later at St. Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.

In 1952, Doris and Ristine were united in Holy Matrimony.  Together they raised three sons, Arthur D. "Ricky Lee" (Loleta) Francis, Norwen T. Francis, Harlie E. Francis, and Tamika Francis Dons.  He later had four additional children, Michael Francis, Doris Francis, Jr. of Jennings, LA; Tyeisha  Marks and Faith Anderson (Donta) of Monroe, LA.

Doris leaves to cherish his memories, his children Arthur, Harlie, Tamika, Michael, Doris Jr., Tyeisha, and Faith; one sister, Joyce Lee Francis; a dear friend, Mary Leblanc; a special niece, Mavis Otis; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

Funeral Services for Doris will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Mary 1, 2021 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1502 South Main Street Jennings LA 70546.  Rev. Pernell R. Trent, Sr., will officiate.  Visiting will be in the church from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral.
