Mrs. Dorothy Mae Perkins, 88, was born to the late Aaron and Augustine Felix on November 30, 1928. Dorothy passed away at Camelot Brookside Center, located in Jennings, LA. on Wednesday, July 27, 2017. She was a member of Union Baptist Church of Jennings where Rev. Gerald Perkins was her pastor.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories, six children; Joseph (Sharon) Perkins of Las Vegas, NV., Aaron Perkins Sr. and Catherine Perkins both of Jennings, LA., Gwendolyn (Sam) Bonton, and Carver (Johnnie) Perkins both of Baton Rouge, LA., Dianna (Gary) Semien of Lake Charles, La.; one stepdaughter, Betty (Floyd) Mouton of Lake Charles, La. One sister; Gloria Walker, one sister in law, Emily Mangram; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in by her parents, Aaron and Augustine Felix; her husband, Paul Perkins; four sisters, Ruth Felix, Pearl Ellis, Marion Felix, and Thelma Every.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Union Baptist Church located in Jennings, LA. with Rev. Gerald Perkins officiating.  Visitation will be in the church from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery located in Jennings, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
