Earl Huey Perkins, 82, entered eternal rest at Golden Age Nursing Home of Welsh on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.  Earl was born, March 10, 1939, in Hathaway, Louisiana to the late Irene Cormier-Perkins and Lee Perkins.  He was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and later worked as a Cement Truck Driver for Industrial Facilities.  He also drove school buses for the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board.  Earl had a love for horses and enjoyed horseback riding.  He loved people and enjoyed helping others and he enjoyed Zydeco Music and dancing.

Earl is survived by his children, Efrem Kadete (Erin) Charles, Moneshia Rojun' Perkins, Kenneth Earl Johnnie, Rolanda Mouton, and Randall Earl (Bernandine) Berry; his brothers, Ben Perkins, Peter Perkins, and Herbert Perkins; his sisters, Vera Abraham, Barbara Williams-White, and Mary Sonnier; his grandchildren, Ja'net Perkins, Venyette Charles, Kirisma Bass, Tyneshia Charles, Shane Charles, Laura Charles, Lauriel Charles, Eueshia Love, Jaquese Grameshia Jones, Kenneth Watkins, Kassia Watkins, Kacey Watkins, Kayla Watkins, Khristopher Watkins, Semaj Robinson, Rainey Mouton, Rashanti Mouton, Allee Berry, and Jalen Lewis.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Irene Perkins; his brothers, Paull Perkins, Ervin Perkins, and Donald Perkins; his sister, Nettie Bell Winston.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2021, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA.  Reverend Gerald W. Perkins will officiate.  Visiting will be in the Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral.  Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery, Jennings, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
