Mrs. Eddie Mae Copeland Paul, 83, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 in Christus St. Patrick's Hospital. She was born in Mansfield, LA. on December 18, 1930 to the late Annahias Boot Copeland and Georgia Mae Johnson. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Paul Sr. Eddie was a life-long resident of Lake Charles, LA. and a devoted member of the Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church, pastored by Rev. Dr. Samuel C. Tolbert Jr. She served in her church as a Deaconess and was a member of the Mission Department. Eddie is survived by three daughters; Loretta Fay Paul Tousaint (husband - John Tousaint), Deidra Lynn Paul Richmond (husband - Andrew Richmond Sr), Laura Coleman (husband - Wendell Coleman), all of Lake Charles, thirteen grandchildren; Frank Paul III - Houston, TX, John Tousaint Jr (wife, Shequetta), Crystal Shay Tousaint, Brian Damare Richmond, Andrew Richmond Jr., and Chad Alexander Richmond all of Lake Charles, Johnny Comeaux, Donnie Dean, Mychael Harnage, Donovan Goins, Amanda Coleman Smalley, Wendell Coleman II and Quintin Coleman; twenty great-grandchildren; Brianna Paul, and Brian Paul Jr., both of Houston, TX., Ashton Richmond and Austin Richmond both of Lake Charles, Amari Tousaint, Tiara Tousaint, Jeremiah Comeaux, Jordan Comeaux, Akilis Rivera, Olivia Dean, Donnie Dean III, Paisley Dean, Izaya Harnage, Morgan Lecombe, Mykal Harnage, Karsyn Harnage, Christian Harnage, Elyjah Dupius, Zephania Smalley, and Grace Smalley; two Godchildren; Christina Schlunger - US Army, and Cody Jackson - Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her husband; Frank Paul Sr., one son; Frank Paul Jr., one daughter; Francis Paul Brown, both parents; Annahias Boot Copeland and Georgia Mae Johnson. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Greater St. Mary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Samuel C. Tolbert Jr., Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
