Mr. Edward "Nick" Nixon, 59, a life-long resident of Jennings, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021, at The Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA.  Edward was born on August 19, 1961, to the late Joseph L. Sinegal, Sr, and Rose Marie Bias Sinegal.  He was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System.  Upon completing his education, Edward enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and later received an honorable discharge.  Edward married the love of his life, Mable Marie Nixon.  He was previously employed by Lee Vac Shipyard, Stines Lumber Yard in Jennings, and was a Firefighter with Jennings Fire Department.  Currently, he was the Custodian for Jennings United Methodist Church in Jennings, LA, and regularly attended service at the church, Pastored by Rev. Walter L Parker, Jr.

Edward leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of five years, Mable Marie Eaglin Nixon; children, Damien D. Nixon of Beaumont, TX., Kiera E. Nixon and Kia I. Nixon, both of Jacksonville, FL., Jessica Eaglin, Pearl Eaglin, and Donisha Owens all of Jennings, LA; brothers, Nelson Nixon & Author Nixon (Brenda) all of Jennings, LA., Joseph L. Sinegal, Jr (Stacey) of Shreveport, LA., and Roland Sinegal, Sr. of Jennings, LA; sisters, Renetta Robinson (Brent) of Jennings, LA., Shanella Boudreaux (Donald Sr.), and Rosalyn Sinegal of Beaumont, TX; grandkids, Kaleb Nixon, Kaidence Nixon, Zoey Eaglin, Ava Owens, Avery Owens, and Zayden Daniels; Godparents, Odeal Williams (Oris); Godchildren, Lawrence Nixon and Donyae Levi; close friends, Marcus Peterson and Ken Francis; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose L. Sinegal, Sr; one brother, Michael Nixon; his maternal grandparents, Edna Bias Lehman (William) and Nathaniel Nixon; 5 uncles and 2 aunts.
