Eleanor Marie Jones, 67 Mrs. Eleanor Marie Jones entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 5, 2011 at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Jones was born in Lafayette, LA on December 17, 1943 to Eveline Andrews. She graduated from Crowley High School and attended the University of Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette. She was a resident of Mermentau, LA and was a faithful member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, pastored by Father Neil McNeal. Eleanor entered into holy matrimony on April 30, 1966 to Henry Jones Jr. and celebrated 45 years of marriage. She loved her Church and her family. Mrs. Jones is survived by her devoted husband; Mr. Henry Jones Jr., two daughters; Tanya Jones of Lakewood, WA., Terranisha Jones of Idabell, OK., one son; Eric (Mona) Turner of Lake Arthur, LA., one brother; Clarence Lyons of San Francisco, CA., ten grandchildren; Laylanie Turner, Makayla Turner, Treyvion Steptoe, DeMarco Steptoe, Courtlin Levi, Farron Levi Jr., Abbielle Carrell, Virgil Turner, Sequvia Winters, and Fallon Levi; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau, LA., with Father Neil McNeal officiating.
