It is with heavy hearts that the family of Elton Montel Freeman, 32, affectionately known as "Snoop" of Jennings, LA announce his passing.  Elton was born in Jennings, LA to Rosalyn Marie Freeman and Everett Major Williams.  Elton was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System.  He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his father and was a member of Love Center of Atlanta Baptist Church, pastored by Byron Broussard.   Elton was self-employed as a carpenter and worked with his father.

Elton is survived by his parents, Rosalyn Marie Freeman of Jennings, LA and his father, Everett Major Williams Sr. of Atlanta, GA; his brothers, Everett Major Williams Jr. of Jennings, LA and Demarco Tramone Williams of Jennings, LA; his paternal grandmother, Sherry Remo of Lake Charles; his uncles, Joseph henry Freeman Jr. of Abbeville, LA, Jeffery John Freeman Sr. of Abbeville, LA., Benny Roy Freeman of Kaplan, LA., Moses Bessard Stewart of Abbeville, LA., Floyd Bessard Stewart of Abbeville, LA., Chad Blair, of Lake Charles, LA., Richard Williams Jr. of Jennings, LA, Darryl Williams of Baytown, TX., and Demonte Williams of Houston, TX; his aunts, Valery Ann Freeman-Lewis of Abbeville, LA, Angela Faye Freeman of Filmore, CA., Monica Freeman of Abbeville, LA, Erica Jean Freeman of Filmore, CA., Doren Lynn Freeman of Abbeville, LA., Felicia Freeman of Abbeville, LA,. Elton was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Silvia Lee Freeman; his maternal grandfather, Joseph Henry Freeman Sr; his paternal grandfather, Richard Leonard Williams Sr.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA.  Visiting with family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
