Ericka Renee Mitchell, 28, a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles, LA. departed her earthly home to be with Jesus Christ.  Ericka was born on October 20, 1989 to her mother, Clorinda R. Mitchell and father, Kevin Ray Howard.  Ericka was educated in the Calcasieu Parish School System and was a graduate of LaGrange High School.  She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and was employed by St Martin De Porres Multi-Care Center in Lake Charles, LA.  Ericka was a member of New Covenant Faith Baptist Church, pastored by Dr. Jimmy R. Stevens.

Ericka leaves to cherish loving memories, one daughter, Nevaeh Jade Levier; mother, Clorinda R. Mitchell; father, Kevin Ray Howard; brothers, Eric Mitchell & Isaiah Chantlin; sister, Ka'Talaya Chantlin; Godfather, Minister Franklin D. Lewis Sr.;  a host of family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Martha & Oliver Young and Robert Mitchell, Sr. & Genita Howard; aunts, Karen & Darlene Mitchell; uncle, Robert D. Mitchell.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at New Covenant Faith Baptist Church, 2233 12th Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601 with Pastor Dr. Jimmy R. Stevens officiating.  Visitation will be held in the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life Services.  Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery, 1100 Mckinley Street, Westlake , LA 70669 under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
