Ervin "Toy" Malveaux, Sr., 86, a native and life-long residence of Jennings, LA passed away at his residence on Monday, October 23, 2023. Brother Malveaux was born on June 10, 1937, to Norland Malveaux and Australia Netty-Malveaux.  Brother Malveaux accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and loved singing in the church.  He was a member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church pastored by Reverend C. James Fontenot.  Ervin married the love of his life, Lorena Monroe-Malveaux and remained faithful until her death on November 10, 2017.  Ervin was formerly employed by the Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury and Jefferson Davis Parish Head Start Program until his retirement.

Brother Malveaux is survived by his children, Australia Malveaux and Ervin (Mary) Malveaux, Jr. both of Jennings, LA; his daughter-in-law, Rhonda Yancy-Malveaux of Lake Charles, LA; his grandchildren, Carletta Simon of Lake Charles, LA., Aisha Lindon of Rayne, LA., Willis Boudreaux, Brock Fontenot, Lance Simon, and John Nix all of Jennings, LA., Kiana Yancy and Kasha Malveaux both of Lake Charles, LA; seven great-grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Brother Malveaux was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Monroe-Malveaux; his son, Troy Malveaux; his parents, Norland and Australia Malveaux, Sr; his brothers, Norland "Bootee" Malveaux, Jr., Leonard Malveaux, and Wayne Malveaux; his grandson, Kealon O'Neal.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 4, 2023, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA.  Reverend C. James Fontenot will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will be held in the Church Chapel from 9:00 am until the time of Celebration Services. Burial will be in the Peterson Memorial Cemetery in Jennings, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
