Ervin Lee Quinn, 77, of Welsh, Louisiana passed away at East Jefferson Memorial Hospital on October 4, 2024. Ervin was born on November 6, 1946 is Sulphur, Louisiana as the second child to Henry and Viola Quinn. Shortly after graduating from high school, Ervin left Louisiana to live in Los Angeles, California. He worked diligently with his cousin at his cousin's machine shop in California, which gained lots of experience. Later he began working in the aircraft industry.
His first aircraft job was at McDonald Douglas in California, which he worked for several years up until 1983. Ervin then moved to Welsh, Louisiana with his present wife, Geraldine L. Quinn and there son, Ervin L. Quinn Jr. He then stared working for Boeing Aircraft of Lake Charles, LA and Northrop Grumman Aircraft of Lake Charles, Louisiana as a Contract Estimator for over 13-years before retiring. He later worked for Pepsico for 8-years before retiring in 2020.
Ervin was preceded in death by his older son with his present wife, Ervin Jr; his brother, Charles; his sister, Helen Harmon of Denver, CO.
Those who are left to mourn his passing are his wife, Geraldine Quinn; his sons, Jerrick and Devon Quinn; his grandchild, Karson J. Quinn; his older son with his first marriage, Eric L. Quinn of California; his nieces, Denise and Susan of Denver, CO., Ramona (Johnathan) of Welsh, LA., Le Jon Renee Quinn, Donald, Diamond all of California; his godchildren, Madeline Prudhomme, Zerek Sheperd, and Eric Jackson; a host of cousins, other relatives, an d friends who will remember him.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA. Visiting with family and friends will be from 9am - 11am in the chapel. Burial will follow in Eastridge Cemetery in Welsh, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
