Ethan Isaac Bush, 23, of Lake Charles, Louisiana was born on January 30, 2002, in Crowley, Louisiana.  Ethan is the beloved son of Crystal Bush and Isaac Floyd.  Ethan was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him.  His laughter, kindness, and joyful spirit touched countless hearts, his memory will forever remain in ours.

Ethan's educational journey took him through schools in Jennings and Welsh, Louisiana, but his heart truly belonged to the Youth Challenge Program (YCP), a military youth camp where he thrived as a young military professional.  At YCP, Ethan excelled in skilled training; while there, Ethan embraced discipline, leadership, and camaraderie with enthusiasm—always giving his best, even through the toughest challenges.  He took special pride in conquering the rigorous 7-minute push-up drill, showcasing his determination and resilience, often laughing about it with his friends and family.

Professionally, Ethan was a dedicated hard worker. He served as a Dollar General store manager for three years before joining their travel crew, helping build and open new locations across the region. Though he often joked about the demands of the job, he loved the sense of purpose it gave him and of course he looked forward to every payday with that smile we knew so well.

Ethan is survived by his devoted family; big brothers, Tristan and Jarred Bush; sisters Janessa Tanee' Bush, Mariah Doucet, Melaina Mahaffey, and Brielle Veillo; lil brothers, Christopher Staples Jr. and Nathan Toye; his niece, Journee; his grandparents, Barbara Bush, Cheryl Leger and Jesse Pete; great aunts, Sandra Burkett, Debra, Brenda, and Wendra Bush; his aunts, Candace, Chloe, Camilla Bush, and Mariah Broussard; his uncles, Cameron and Connor Bush; his cousins, Collin Bush, Dominique Butler and Darren LaSaint; numerous little cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Ethan is preceded in death by his loving great grandparents, Arthur and Ruth Bush Jr. who now welcomes him into eternal peace.

Ethan's journey ended too soon on that Friday Oct 10 in Houston, Texas, but the love and laughs he shared continues to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His warmth, humor, and compassion will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
