Ethel Semien Sam, 84, a resident of Lake Charles, LA., was born on August 13, 1933 and passed away on July 21, 2018 at a local hospital. Ethel along with her late husband J.C. enjoyed the many different church functions and assisting with Church Bazaars and Activities. She also enjoyed going to the Zydeco's. Anyone who knew Ms. Sam, knew that when they entered her home, they would be greeted with a big smile and a warm kiss on the cheek and lots of food, fun conversation and laughter. She thoroughly enjoyed her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She welcomed the Rosary Groups and any other Prayer Groups into her home. She also was an awesome and funny storyteller. Ethel believed in having a healthy lifestyle, which was evident by the many years she sold herbs and invited friends and family to her house to learn how to be healthy. She was well known in the community and knew how to handle business with a smile. She loved attending funerals because it afforded her an opportunity to share her Christian Faith and meet new relatives.
