Eulina Davis, 97, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in Jennings American Legion Hospital.  Eulina was born on September 27, 1922, in Eunice, Louisiana to the late Joseph Broussard and Olamp Thomas.  She was the last of ten children.  She was baptized at an early age in the Roman Catholic Church in Eunice, LA.  At the age of 17, after the death of her parents, she moved to Midland, LA.  She attended church at St. Johns Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau, LA.  In 1947, she moved to Jennings, LA and she joined Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was united in holy matrimony to the late Preston Davis and to this union, six children were born, Geneva, Albert, Renella, Hubert, Haywood, and Rayford.  Eulina was a Homemaker and baby sitter of neighborhood children and her grandchildren.

To those who know her, she was affectionately known as "Mom."  She welcomed you with open arms whenever you came by the house.  She was always cooking and she would never let you leave without eating.  You could always visit "Mom" for coffee and good conversation.

Left to cherish Eulina's memories are her loving children, Renella (Taylor) Mayfield of Los Angeles, CA., Hubert Broussard & Martin Haywood (Murnette) Broussard Sr., both of Jennings, LA., and Matthew Rayford-Coco (Wanda) Broussard of Monroe, LA; one daughter-in-law, JamesEtta Davis of Jennings, LA; one son-in-law, Hardy L. Obey, Sr. of Inglewood, CA; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.

Eulina was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Davis; one daughter, Geneva Davis-Obey; one son, Albert J. Davis, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 920 South Broadway Street in Jennings, LA.  Reverend Jude Fernando will officiate.  A Rosary will be recited at 9:45 am in the church.  Visitation will be held in the church from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
