Mrs. Fannie Bell Bumphis, 83 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:" 2 Timothy 4:7. A devoted wife, loving mother and gracious friend, Mrs. Bumphis died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Jeff Davis Living Center. She was a resident of Jennings, LA and was born on September 24, 1929 to Noah Perkins and Mary Ellen Miller. Funeral services for Fannie Bell Bumphis will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Semien-Lewis Mortuary Church Chapel with Reverend Johnny Davis, Pastor of Power House Church of God in Christ officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. in the Church Chapel until the time of funeral. Burial will be in the Benevolent Cemetery in Jennings under direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary. Survivors include one son, Andrew (Joyce) Nichols of Crosby, TX; three sisters, Virginia Janice, and Lovann Pruitt, of Houston, TX, and Maudrie Ann Ervin of California; 4-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, Mary Ellen Miller and Noah Perkins.
