Mrs. Florrie Briscoe Andrus 73, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Lafayette General Hospital. She was a native of Jacksonville, TX. and lived in Jennings, LA. Florrie was a graduate of Wiley College, and worked a Case Worker for Assist Agency. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Gerald Perkins, where she was the Administrative Assistant/Secretary and Choir Director. Mrs. Andrus is survived by her husband, Alvin Andrus and one daughter, Sharon Nash of Baton Rouge, LA. and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Union Baptist Church with Reverend Gerald Perkins, Pastor officiating. Visitation will be from 6pm - 9pm on Friday, June 7, 2013 in the church and Saturday from 8am until the time of the funeral. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
