Frank Edward Smith, 57 Frank E. Smith was born November 9, 1954 in Lake Charles, LA to Louella Hughes and Henry A. Smith. God in His infinite wisdom called Frank from his earthly labor to his heavenly reward on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Frank was a life-long resident of Lake Charles and was a 1972 graduate of Marion High School where he was the Head Drum Major in the band and a member of the Performing Honor Choir. He attended McNeese State University and Southern University. Frank was a member of Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Samuel C. Tolbert Jr. Frank was employed as a substitute teacher for Calcasieu Parish School Board and worked as a Chef-Cook for L'Auberge Casino Resort and Isle Capri Casino in Lake Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louella Hughes Smith and Henry A. Smith Sr.; one sister, Mae Francis Cline; four brothers, George Smith Sr., Willie D. Smith, Rudolph Johnson and Henry "Butch" Smith Jr.;one nephew, Henry Alexander Smith III. He is survived by two brothers, Floyd Smith and Nathaniel "Buster" Smith of Lake Charles: six sisters, Beatrice Smith, Maxine Smith, Patricia Jones, Mary Louise Bates, Cheryl Willis and Wanda Bartie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Greater St. Mary Baptist Church with Reverend Samuel C. Tolbert Jr. officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 10:00 am until the time of religious services. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
