Freddie Marshall Lee was born on August 19, 1944, in Mobile, Alabama. He departed his life on June 9, 2023, at the Jeff Davis Living Center Nursing Home. Freddie was the fourth child of his parents, Victoria and Joe Lee.
Freddie attended a Trade School in Jennings, LA, known as Morgan Smith Campus, where he received his G.E.D. He worked with Homer Nash for many years as a Carpenter in the Construction Industry. He also worked as a Brick Layer and a Union Worker.
Freddie enjoyed fishing, buying Lotto Tickets and Scratch Off Tickets. He loved to cut down trees with his chain saw and he loved working in the yard and digging a garden.
Freddie leaves to mourn his lifetime companion of 57-years, Ms. Cecelia Lee Byers of Jennings, LA; his daughter, Connie Nixon of Jennings, LA; four grandchildren, Ta'Quesha, Tyrell, ReOnnai, and Whitney Trimble of Jennings, LA; nine great-grandchildren, A'zye & Azavion Nixon, and Azerius & Ke'Airee Lewis, Kalix Trimble & Cassius Nixon of Jennings, LA, Zayden Jones of Titusville, Florida, Arianna & Noi'ihr Riley of Jennings, LA; one sister, Carolyn Gordon of Atlanta, GA; a host of friends, cousins, relatives, nieces and nephews; five godchildren, Daisetta Nixon of Jennings, LA, Roslyn and Roland Senegal of Beaumont, TX, Tony Gordon of Atlanta, GA, and Mechon Hall of Lil Rock, AK.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Victoria & Joe Lee; his siblings, Russell Lee, Howard Lee, and Wilma Wright.
Visiting with family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 9:00am to 10:40am in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11am in the Mortuary Chapel. Cremation will follow under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
