Mr. George McZeal, Sr., 85, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Camelot Brookside Retirement Home in Jennings, LA.  George was a native and resident of Lake Arthur, LA.  He was born on April 3, 1934, to the late Amos McZeal and Jenny Channey-McZeal.  George was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and retired after many years of service in the Off-Shore Industry.  He was later self-employed providing professional lawn maintenance in Jefferson Davis Parish and surrounding areas.  George was a faithful member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Jennings, LA., pastored by Reverend C. James Fontenot.

George is survived by his wife, Sharon Marie White-McZeal; children, brothers, Charles McZeal, and Clayton McZeal (Cynthia); a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Amos McZeal and Jenny Channey-McZeal; brothers, Carleis A. "Curley" MaZiel, Haywood McZeal and Amos McZeal, Jr; sisters, Esther Jackson, and Lela McZeal.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 219 E. G.C. Chaney Street in Jennings, LA.  Pastor C. James Fontenot will officiate.  Visitation with family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral.  Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery in Jennings, under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
