Mrs. Gertie Mae Williams, 82 Gertie Mae Williams was born in Sunshine, LA on August 22, 1929 to her loving parents, Leontine Fleming and Dan Williams Sr. On Saturday, April 7, 2012, while surrounded by her loving family, God in His infinite wisdom and power, called Gertie from her earthly home to her heavenly reward. Gertie was a life-long resident of Sunshine, LA., until she became ill and was taken in by her daughter Gail and family. She was a faithful member of the First Mount Carmel Baptist Church pastored by Reverend Robert Brown. Gertie was self-employed as a Hair Stylist and worked also as a Security Officer. Gertie was preceded in death by her parents Leontine Fleming and Dan Williams Sr.; two sons, Lucien Clinton III., Charles Louis Mosby; two brothers, Dan Williams Sr., and Louis Fleming; two sisters, Mildred Pooler and Maudred Johnson. Gertie leaves to cherish her memories one son, Milton (Sherry) Mosby Sr. of Haynesville, LA; one daughter, Gail (Abraham) Sharper of Baton Rouge; one sister, Jessie Porter, Portland. OR., Leontine Jones, Sunshine, LA.; seventeen grandchildren, Eric, Yolanda, LaTongia, Milton Mosby Jr., Jaread, Maxwell, Quisha Sharper, Earlene Johnson, Martha Tate, Essalina Mosby Bradford, Marlin Sharper, Jermiah, Jalissa, Milton "Lil Milton" Mosby, Makayea, Christian and Takesha Mosby; and a host of great-grandchildren, family and friends.
